With a host of other sporting events including the football World Cup and the Australian and New Zealand Women’s Rugby League teams also in action, fans will be able to watch the match live on Facebook.
The World Cup is being held in England from October 27 to November 2, and will be the biggest sporting event of the year to reach the UK.
But some fans may be more interested in the match’s weather forecast.
Facebook Live will feature live commentary on the weather in England.
Fans will be offered the opportunity to request a specific forecast for their region, with some users wanting to see an exact forecast of their area.
The company will also offer a ‘Weather in the Pub’ section to provide a more detailed forecast, with a more up-to-date forecast being offered for each local timezone.
Some users may want to know when the match is on, as the company will provide a weather forecast for each of the matches across the world.
The Weather in the Bar section will offer users the option to request an exact, up-till-11pm forecast for a particular time zone.
It’s unclear if the forecast will be available for all games, or if it will only be available during certain times.
Facebook Live is a new feature introduced by the company to provide users with the option of live weather for a given time period, or even a particular venue.
However, the company has said the service does not offer weather updates for all matches or even those in which it does offer the weather.
Fans of the NRL will be hoping that the app is able to provide them with a weather update at the same time.
Users of the NBA and NHL will be looking forward to the availability of an official live weather forecast, and Facebook Live is set to become the go-to platform for those fans.
